Have you ever replayed a conversation in your mind, wishing you had not said what you said or had said something different? Those lingering words can ring in the ears of our souls long after a conversation ends. We can speak in haste, anger, fear, insecurity, or frustration and then carry regret over the effect our words had on someone we love. But God has given us something better than simply trusting our impulses or trying harder to find the right thing to say. He has given us his Word. Psalm 19 directs us to fill our hearts and mouths with the Scriptures. This Psalm provides three reasons to speak the Scriptures and four benefits of doing so.
